- Thomasville Park Site Improvements
Install new ballfield, bleachers, pavilion, pathways, carry out new plantings, adjust drainage. The project is substantially complete, except for the new plantings. Funding Source: Community Development Block Grant(2004: $408,493).
- Rosel Fann (Southeast Recreation Center Improvements)
Pressure wash entire building, install new ceiling, new floor, renovate interior and plumbing, fire and security systems, including surveillance cameras, new PA system; renovate electrical system. Completion is expected mid-April.
- M. L. King, Jr. Natatorium Renovations
Repaint all surfaces, install new floor, rehab pool shell, replace pool equipment, piping and HVAC, and make miscellaneous repairs. Set for completion in December of this year. A structural review of the parking structure is finished and permits are pending. Funding source: General Obligation Bonds ($979,207).

Central Park Building Renovations
Pressure wash entire structure, repaint all painted surfaces, replace all exterior and interior glazing, lighting and fixtures, doors, ceiling, fix up bathrooms, install bleachers and various furnishings. Install new sidewalk entrance and elevator. Redo gym floor, electrical and kitchen. Scheduled for completion in November, 2006. Contractor was recently engaged and has begun work. Funding Source: Parks Improvement Fund ($232,000).
- Southbend Park Lodge Renovations
Replace entire structure to support cultural program. Construction plans and demolition is complete. Permits are pending. Completion is expected this december. Funding source: Urban Park and Recreation Recovery Program($826,000), Parks Improvement Fund ($123,000).
