HABITAT FOR HUMANITY IN ATLANTA, INC.:
Property Acquisition

Habitat for Humanity in Atlanta, Inc is a non-profit agency that acquires vacant parcels (lots) to build single-family, 2-4 bedroom homes for families at low and very low incomes in the City of Atlanta.

These homes are sold to low income first time homebuyers.  The cost of these homes are affordable partly due to donated materials and labor HFH obtains to build the homes.  Residents who live or work in the targeted neighborhoods are given priority to purchase the newly constructed homes.  Priority is also given to families living in substandard housing conditions, (i.e. unsafe, unsanitary, overcrowded or too costly).  All applicants and homebuyers must be current residents of the City of Atlanta or Fulton County for at least one year.
