Capital Improvement Program

The Capital Improvements Program (CIP) serves as a guide for the development of public facilities within the City of Atlanta over the next five years.  It is the financial foundation necessary for the implementation of the Comprehensive Development Plan/Atlanta Strategic Action Plan (CDP/ASAP)

The CIP identifies all capital needs during the next five years and recommends how projected revenues or bonds should be spent over the next five years.  It is updated annually and includes a general financial plan for funding projects over the five-year period.  The CIP covers all facilities that the City of Atlanta owns or is responsible for, including streets, sewers, and bridges, as well as such facilities as police precincts, fire stations, recreation centers, maintenance facilities, and general office buildings.

A print copy of the most recent Capital Improvement Program can be purchased from the Bureau of Planning for $30.
