Capital Improvement Program

The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) serves as a guide for the development of public facilites within the City of Atlanta over the next fifteen years.  It is the financial foundation necessary for the implementation of the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP)

The CIP identifies all capital needs during the next fifteen years and recommends how projected revenues should be spent over the next five years.  It is updated annually and includes a general financial plan for funding projects over the fifteen-year period.  The CIP covers all facilities that the City of Atlanta owns or is responsible for, including streets, sewers, and bridges, as well as such facilities as police precincts, recreation centers, maintenance facilities, and general office buildings.

A print copy of the most recent Capital Improvement Program can be purchased from the Bureau of Planning for $30.
