Fort McPherson Zoning Framework


 

Background

Fort McPherson, a 488-acre installation located in southwest Atlanta, was selected to close under the 2005 round of Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC). The McPherson Planning Local Redevelopment Authority (MPLRA) was formed on December 14, 2005 to assume the responsibility and authority for planning the reuse and economic development of the real estate and other assets presently comprising of Fort McPherson, Georgia. The reuse plan was approved by the MPLRA in September 2007.

Fort McPherson Planning Team

The Bureau of Planning created the Fort McPherson Planning Team to lead in the process of establishing a new ordinance for the zoning regulations for Fort McPherson.
