Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon
The City of Atlanta is committed to creating and maintaining safe and easy access for pedestrians, bicyclists and driver’s to share the public right-of-way. Newly installed Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons (PHB) are being installed in high pedestrian areas to allow protected pedestrian crossings, stopping road traffic only as needed. The Public Parking Management Program in association with PARKatlanta is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and revenue collection of parking meters as well as enforcement of on-street parking throughout the City of Atlanta. The City of Atlanta considers public vending as a critical component of its strategy to increase the vitality of the City's street life. Rapid development in the three major mixed-use commercial/retail/residential districts of the City - Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead - has added thousands of pedestrians to the City's streets every day. Valet Parking Program
The on-street valet drop off/pick-up pilot program has been established for the purpose of reviewing and evaluating the overall operation of valet parking in the public right of way.
