Mayor Kasim Reed
Camille Love, Director of Cultural Affairs for the City of Atlanta

 WHAT:

power2give.org is an online platform that uses crowd-sourced funding to match donors with arts organizations and projects. Arts organizations vetted through the Office of Cultural Affairs’ Contracts for Arts Services program are granted access to the power2give website so they may post arts-related projects in need of funding. The public is encouraged to visit the site and support those projects through donations via the online payment tool.

The Office of Cultural Affairs has allocated $220,000 of the FY13 Contracts for Arts Services budget for power2give matching purposes. The initial group of 22 organizations are eligible for matching funds up to $55,000 at most, leaving $165,000 with which to fund future rounds of projects.

9:00 A.M. - 9:40 A.M
