Volunteers will clean the streets, paint and pressure-wash vendor structures along South Broad Street in preparation for Elevate South Broad Festival on October 27

 WHAT:

On Saturday, October 6th, the City of Atlanta’s Office of Cultural Affairs and Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Association will team up to clean South Broad Street for the 22nd Annual Hands on Atlanta Day.

This year’s theme, Love Your Block, Love Your Neighbor, Love Your School focuses on Hands On Atlanta’s three strategic focus areas: the environment, economic recovery and education. Volunteers will work together to clean the streets, repaint and pressure wash vendor structures. This clean-up effort is in preparation for the Elevate South Broad Festival on Saturday, October 27.

Elevate is an annual event sponsored by the City of Atlanta’s Office of Cultural Affairs. Through the Elevate South Broad Mural Projects, public arts commissions will improve the environment, contribute to downtown Atlanta’s economic growth and offer free cultural events to the public.
