Mayor Kasim Reed, Georgia Institute of Technology and officials from bicycle-planning partnerships will announce bicycle initiatives for the City of Atlanta including the completion of new safety enhancements at Tech Square, the launch of the Cycle Atlanta smart phone app and the first-ever Bike Expo at City Hall.

- A ribbon-cutting ceremony with all speakers will take place immediately following remarks.
- Following the ribbon-cutting, a ceremonial bike ride with City officials and bicycle transportation partners will begin at 5th Street and West Peachtree Street and travel south on Peachtree Street, ending at City Hall. The ride will be completed at approximately 1:15 p.m.
- The new Cycle Atlanta smart phone app for the City of Atlanta will be featured at the Cycle Atlanta 2012 Expo at City Hall from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
