City of Atlanta to Present Draft Project List for Regional Transportation Referendum

The public is invited to attend an open house on Tuesday, June 5 to learn about the City of Atlanta’s draft project list for the discretionary 15 percent portion of the upcoming regional transportation referendum.
If the referendum passes, it is estimated that $7.2 billion will be invested over a 10-year period across the 10-county Atlanta metropolitan region with 15% going directly to municipalities. The City of Atlanta is expected to receive more than $9 million every year for 10 years, or about $94 million total dedicated for local projects.
A brief overview of the referendum process and the 85% regional list will be included as part of the session. The list will be made available to attendees and on the city’s website Tuesday evening. Comments on the draft list can be made on Tuesday in person or by e-mail to tiacomments@atlantaga.gov.
