City of Atlanta Boil-Water Advisory In Effect

A power outage resulted in a temporary loss of pressure in the drinking water system. The system was restored to normal operations within approximately 30 minutes. However, in an abundance of caution, a boil-water advisory is in effect for the following areas:

Streets between I-20 to the north and Glenwood Avenue to the south and Haas Avenue to the east and Moreland Avenue to the west.

Streets between Mauldin Street to the north and Memorial Drive to the south and Stovall Street to the east and Holtzclaw Street to the west.

Streets between Gordon Street to the north and Cottage Grove Avenue to the south and Carter Avenue/5th Avenue to the east and Oakview Road to the west.

Customers in those areas should boil water for 1 minute past a rolling boil before using it for cooking, drinking or brushing teeth. Infants, the elderly and those with immune deficiencies should be particularly careful. If you experienced a loss of water at your address but your address is not within the area described, you may want to follow these precautions.

The Department of Watershed Management is flushing the system as a precaution and sampling the affected zones to affirm that there is no contamination in the system, as well as investigating the cause of the power interruption.

This advisory is in effect until further notice. Please listen to/read/view local media for updates. See attached map
