Police Ask For Assistance In Identifying Mail Thief
On 08-27-2012 police were notified that the US Postal boxes at the Shamrock Garden Apartments had been broken into and mail stolen. Surveillance video of the incident shows the suspect break into the boxes, take mail from them and then sit on a nearby bench and sort through the mail before leaving.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2500 in this case and Mr. Brent Sobol, the apartment complex owner, has added $500 to bring the reward to $3000. Mr. Sobol and several residents who were affected by the theft are willing to speak with media on the incident. Mr. Sobol also has the surveillance video from the incident and will have it available for viewing.
Investigators are asking for assistance in identifying the suspect from the surveillance footage. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Zone 4 investigators at 404-472-3351 or call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Calls to Crime Stoppers can be made anonymously and callers may be eligible for up to a $3000 reward.
