 WHAT:

The Department of Public Works is launching Solid Waste Education and Enforcement Teams (SWEET) as part of the ongoing push to crack down on illegal dumping and other solid waste code violations in the public right-of-way. Four new agents have been sworn in as the inaugural SWEET code enforcement officers. Agents will be assigned to enforce codes by quadrant and will begin issuing official citations on June 1, 2012. Courtesy citations in the month of May are designed to educate the public on the new enforcement measures.
