The City of Atlanta was awarded in early August the Outstanding Achievement Award in Popular Annual Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the fiscal year 2011. This is the first time the City of Atlanta has been recognized for its work in publishing a user-friendly and easy to understand annual financial report. The Award of Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting is a prestigious award recognizing the highest standards of state and local government popular reports.
