Mayor Reed will highlight prevention and control methods to mitigate mosquito-borne illnesses such as Zika and West Nile Virus

WHAT: In recent years, the increase of mosquito-borne illnesses such as Zika, West Nile Virus, Dengue, chikungunya, and yellow fever require local, state, and federal entities to take more proactive measures toward mosquito prevention and control.

Mayor Reed will announce new investments in mosquito control, and will highlight comprehensive and proactive mosquito prevention and control strategies to mitigate mosquito-borne illnesses during the 2017 season.
