Mission

The mission of the Program Management Office (PMO) is to develop and lead the Mayor’s reform efforts throughout the city.  We perform assessments of city services and identify opportunities to improve operations through better business processes, human resource strategies, or technology applications.  Our goal is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of City services and to improve the quality of service delivered to the citizens of Atlanta.

 

Function

    Strategic Planning

  Oversee annual strategic planning process

  Translate strategic goals into operational priorities and organizational change initiatives

   Business Process Change

  Lead and project manage individual process improvement initiatives

  Lead and support Mayoral special projects

   Organizational and Sourcing Strategies

  Assist in the design and execution of departmental reorganizations

  Identify sourcing strategies for city services and provide policy and economic rationale for sourcing decisions

   Change Management

  Oversee communications and change management efforts citywide

  Assist in development and execution of communications and branding strategies

   Performance Evaluation and Management

  Manage and oversee the City’s performance tracking tool

  Conduct performance assessments of city services and make recommendations for improvements
