New Clean Water Atlanta website debuts

July 7, 2003 –  The City’s new Clean Water Atlanta website, a site dedicated to detailed coverage of Atlanta’s $3.4 billion water and wastewater infrastructure program, can now be visited at www.cleanwateratlanta.org. The site offers visitors a wealth of information about the program, including material about:

·        Wastewater, stormwater and drinking water projects;

·        Consent Decree programs and compliance schedules;

·        The City’s public involvement and informational programs; and

·        Links to the City and the Department of Watershed Management.

The site contains “Hot Topics” and “Hot Projects” information about ongoing work and news of interest to the community and a public education section with an interactive “Kids’ Corner.” A geographical reference section allows visitors to search for projects by neighborhood. CleanWaterAtlanta.com also serves as a repository for documents dealing with the City’s Consent Decrees and minutes of the quarterly meetings of regulatory agencies. A Mayor’s Corner feature offers video and text of speeches in which Mayor

Shirley Franklin explains the mission and goals of the program. The Mayor’s Corner will be periodically updated to reflect changes in project status and other news about Clean Water Atlanta.
