City of Atlanta Announces 2nd Annual Atlanta Reads Program

WHAT:

Mayor Franklin along with other city officials and sponsors will announce details for this year’s Atlanta Reads Week.

 

The theme is “Building Community” and features the reading of two novels: Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird and Gloria Naylor’s The Women of Brewster Place. Atlanta Reads Week will feature cross-generational book discussions in public and neighborhood forums, theatrical performances and activities specifically for Atlanta Public Schools 12th graders and senior citizen members of the Mayor’s Golden Age Club.
