I am encouraged by the outpouring of support we are receiving in light of the State Supreme Court ruling on Monday.
I stand by the professional processes that have been put in place by the Atlanta Development Authority for the implementation of the tax allocation districts in the City. These processes have allowed ADA and the City to make smart, research-based decisions in an open and transparent way.
It is important to acknowledge and thank the public and private organizations who remain committed to investing in this city in spite of the ruling.
Working together with our economic development partners, we will continue to focus on achieving the best in class goals of the economic development plan for our City. As I said on Monday, Atlanta is not a city that gives up on its vision. We will do what we always do: Figure out how to get it done and keep moving forward.
