Atlanta Firefighters & SCANA Energy Team up to Keep Atlanta’s Elderly Cool in the Summer Heat

News Conference to kick off the weeklong “Help Atlanta’s Elderly Stay Cool Campaign” Fan Give-away

 

Summer is here and as history has always held in the South… the HOT and humid days and nights will be back again. SCANA Energy has, once again, stepped up by donating 1,000 fans to Mayor Franklin and Atlanta Fire Rescue Department to distribute to low-income elderly residents to aide them in maintaining cooler temperatures in their homes.

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007 at 10:30 a.m.

Fire Station # 4

309 Edgewood Avenue (at the corner of Edgewood and Fort Streets)

Atlanta, GA 30312

 

NOTES:

The fans donated by SCANA Energy will be distributed on a first-come, first served basis. Senior Citizens may call 404.330.6026 or visit the closest Atlanta Fire Station. Recipients must provide their name and address and they will be scheduled to pick a fan up from their closest Fire Station
