Mayor Franklin and Department of Watershed Management to present Grant to Kimberly Elementary School for Water-wise School Garden Program

Mayor Shirley Franklin, Sheila Pierce, Deputy Commissioner, Watershed Management, Principal Carolyn Hall and students from Kimberly Elementary

Vicki Seastrom, National Wildlife Federation, Jennifer Gardner, US Environmental Protection Agency

WHAT:

Mayor to announce partnership with National Wildlife Federation and the US Environmental Protection Agency to create the Water-wise School Garden Program. Kimberly Elementary School is first grant recipient. Program is designed to provide training, guidance and funding for Atlanta Public Schools to build and maintain water conserving, schoolyard garden habitats.
