Mitchell Street Bridge Detour Routes

The Mitchell Street Bridge is closed to vehicular traffic due to structural deficiency.  The actual location of the closure is Mitchell Street between Elliot Street and Spring Street.

The following detour routes are currently in place and signed accordingly.

-     Eastbound Mitchell Street traffic, Eastbound Martin Luther King Jr. Drive traffic and Southbound Northside Drive traffic are to use the following routes:

·         South on Northside Drive to

·         East on McDaniel Street to

·         North on Peters Street to

·         North on Spring Street to

·         Mitchell Street

-     Northbound Northside Drive traffic are to use the following routes:

·         East on McDaniel Street to

·         North on Peters Street to

·         North on Spring Street to

·         Mitchell Street

                               OR

·         North on Northside Drive to

·         East on Simpson Street/Jones Avenue to

·         South on Marietta Street to

·         West on Centennial Olympic Park Drive to

·         East on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to

·         South on Spring Street to

·         Mitchell Street

-     Local traffic is to use the following route:

·         South on Magnum Street to

·         East on Chapel Street to

·         North on Centennial Olympic Park Drive to

·         East on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to

·         South on Spring Street to

·         Mitchell Street
