Media Credentialing for 2004 Athens Olympic
Torch Relay Arrival and City Celebration Events
FRIDAY JUNE 18, 2004
I. TORCH ARRIVAL PHOTO-OP
The Olympic Torch will arrive at 9:00 am.
Mayor Shirley Franklin will receive the torch.
Location: AGI North Cargo Building, 3400 Interloop Road
MEDIA ACCESS:
Media will be allowed to set up between 7:00 am and 8:00 am.
NO access will be permitted after 8:00 am.
DIRECTIONS:
The AGI Terminal is located on the east end of the North Cargo Terminal
To get to the terminal…
Take I-85 South onto Virginia Ave. Exit 73
Take a Left
Follow to the end of Virginia Ave.
Turn right onto Rainey Ave. (Hammer’s Grill)
Rainey comes to an end (half a block)
Take a left onto North Loop Road (Fed Ex Building)
The AGI Terminal is four blocks up on the right before a fenced in parking lot.
If you get to the parking lot, you have gone too far.
II. Media Credentialing for Centennial Olympic Park
WHAT:
The City of Atlanta will provide Media Credentials for those with media outlet photo identification to enter the media areas at Centennial Olympic Park on Friday JUNE 18, 2004.
You will be able to enter the park without credentials but you will not have access to the restricted media area without official City or official Olympic credentials
WHEN:
FRIDAY, June 18th, 2004
Event Time: 6 - 10 p.m.
Credentials may be picked up beginning at 5:00 pm
WHERE:
Pick up credentials at the City of Atlanta Will Call Table in Centennial Olympic Park in front of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce (at the intersection of Andrew Young International Blvd. And Marietta Street)
