Ground Breaking Ceremony for Simpson Road Streetscape Improvement Project

WHAT:	Ground breaking ceremony to celebrate the beginning of construction of the Simpson Road Streetscape Improvement Project located in Atlanta City Council District 3, Neighborhood Planning Unit – J.
WHEN:	Friday, October 12, 2007 at 12:00 P.M.
WHERE:	Corner of Simpson Road & Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard
NOTES:	The City of Atlanta Department of Public Works is proud to announce the implementation of community improvement projects throughout the City of Atlanta as part of the $150M Quality of Life Bond Program!   Beginning mid October 2007, we will begin streetscape improvements along Simpson Road from Temple Street to Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard.   This project will include the installation and/or replacement of existing sidewalks with newly constructed concrete sidewalks and curbs.  Additional improvements will include painted crosswalks and brick accent pavers.   Please join the Department of Public Works, Ivory Lee Young-Atlanta City Council District 3 Representative, community leaders of Neighborhood Planning Unit J, and the communities of Grove Park and West Lake as we commemorate the beginning of this project!
