City of Atlanta Honors the Atlanta Thrashers for First Playoff Run in Franchise History

WHAT:

The City of Atlanta will present a Phoenix Award and a Proclamation to the Atlanta Thrashers in celebration of the franchise’s first playoff run and the first playoff game at Philips Arena since it was built in 1999.   

 

During the news conference, fans can view the Stanley Cup as it makes a stop in Atlanta on its US tour. The Stanley Cup is the most famous trophy in the sporting world.
