This event is presented by the Atlanta Commission on Women, and sponsored by Georgia Association for Women Lawyers, Friese and Price Law Firm, LLC, ING, and Parking Company of America.  It will enable women business owners to learn how to do business with the City of Atlanta.  The program will feature speakers from the City of Atlanta who will instruct attendees about the procurement and bidding process so as to eliminate the information barrier that may prevent women business owners from actively competing for contracting opportunities with the City.   The City of Atlanta has a goal that 17% of their contracts be awarded to female owned businesses.  The event will also include dozens of companies that currently hold contracts with the City and whose representatives will be available for roundtable discussions with women in business and women business owners.   Attendees will not only leave the event with a firm understanding of how to participate in the City's bidding process but will also have the opportunity to meet prime contractors.  This is a great chance for all women business owners who wish to learn how to do business with the City of Atlanta and is an excellent networking opportunity for all women professionals.
