I have ordered an investigation into the use of the City credit card in the Mayor’s Office. After a recent media inquiry, we believe an investigation by the Internal Auditor and Law Department into possible mismanagement of that account is warranted.
There are few issues more important to me than the integrity and fiscal stewardship this office is responsible for upholding.
If it is confirmed by the Internal Auditor and the Compliance Office of the Law Department that there was negligence in the management and oversight of city resources I will take the appropriate action.
