The City of Atlanta is working with several community based agencies to develop a housing program to accommodate evacuees who have to find new housing by December 1st. This task is complicated by the extremely short deadline, the limited resources available and FEMA’s continued bureaucratic requirements. The city will continue to seek additional resources from FEMA as well as an extension of the December 1st deadline.
