Mayor Franklin to host “Mayor’s Night In”


(Atlanta, GA) January 28 – In keeping with her open door policy, Mayor Shirley Franklin will host her first “Mayor’s Night In”.  Scheduled for Monday, February 4th, beginning at 6:00pm, Mayor Franklin will keep the door of the Mayor’s Office open to meet with constituents.

Upon arriving to the Mayor’s Office citizens will be given a specific time that they will be able to personally meet with Mayor Franklin.  During the individual meetings, citizens are availed the opportunity to discuss city issues, express their vision of Atlanta or to just come by to say hello.  “I want to make sure that I have the opportunity to continually hear directly from the citizens of Atlanta,” stated Mayor Franklin.  Citizen concerns will be logged by Franklin staffers to ensure appropriate, timely follow-up.

“Mayor’s Night In” is one of many on-going initiatives that will be spearheaded by the Mayor’s Office to ensure that Mayor Franklin will have an opportunity to continually hear from the citizens of Atlanta.  For more information about “Mayor’s Night In” call (404) 330-6576.
