The City of Atlanta commemorated September 11th with a memorial tribute display and moments of silence at the exact time each plane that crashed into the twin towers in New York. Silence was observed at 8:45 am at the exact time the first plane hit the north tower and at 9:06 am when the second plane hit the south tower.
Representatives from the Atlanta Police and the Atlanta Fire departments will also be stationed at the display inside City Hall atrium at 55 Trinity Ave, SW during the regular work hours on Friday, September 10th.
