In response to the misinformed statements by radio and television commentator Bill O'Reilly, Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin issued the following statement:

"Atlanta is a city that embraces many different music styles and musicians. While there may be those who dislike or have personal differences with Ludacris, his contributions to young people through the work of his foundation have supported numerous community projects and assisted needy children and families in Atlanta. For these contributions, I joined the Atlanta City Council in recognizing Chris Bridges."
