Yesterday, one of Atlanta’s top ten criminals was taken off the streets, after members of the Atlanta Police Fugitive Unit and Clayton County Fugitive Unit caught Brian Lee Rochester. A member of the community saw Rochester profiled on a Crime Stoppers feature and called in to provide the tip that led to the arrest.
Police staked out a home on Pine Glen Drive in Riverdale and the 41-year-old was arrested without incident yesterday afternoon. Rochester was wanted on a Fulton County Warrant for Aggravated Assault and was considered armed and dangerous.
Police encourage those with information about wanted fugitives or crime in their neighborhood who wish to remain anonymous, to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
Crime Stoppers Atlanta was launched in January of this year and is funded by the Atlanta Police Foundation. To date, the program has received more than 200 tips about crime in the greater Atlanta area.
