On July 16, the world's busiest passenger airport will begin construction on three new checked baggage security screening systems. The project constructing these systems is called the TSA Baggage Security Screening Project, and is expected to cost approximately $215 million. When it is completed, passenger circulation in the ticketing areas will be greatly enhanced; terminal curb fronts will be improved; and passengers will enjoy a higher level of service in the terminal.
