Mayor of Atlanta, Shirley Franklin and Department of Public Works Acting Deputy Commissioner David Peters join Civic & Environmental Volunteer Groups to "Paint The Town Blue"
The City of Atlanta will host a storm drain stenciling project that will involve printing a message next to street drains to remind the public that litter and other pollutants that enter storm drains often end up in local streams and creeks. The goal of this program is to raise citizen awareness of the connection between storm drain run-off and water resource protection. This event is part of the City of Atlanta’s Stormwater Management Initiative.
