Mayor Kasim Reed Wishes the City of Atlanta a Safe and Happy Holiday

ATLANTA - Mayor Kasim Reed announced today that City of Atlanta government offices and the municipal court will be closed on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in observance of the Christmas day holiday.

“I want to wish our City of Atlanta family the very best this time of year can bring. It is now when we should pause to reflect on our many blessing and take time to spend with your family,” said Mayor Reed. “And as a thank you to the thousands of men and women who work hard throughout the year in service to our community, I have issued an executive order for the administrative closure of city offices on December 26, giving city employees a day off so that they can spend that extra time with their loved ones.”

Essential staff will report to work as determined by department supervisors. City offices will be closed on December 25 and 26, and will re-open on Wednesday, December 27, 2017.
