City of Atlanta to Host New Year’s Eve Peach Drop at Woodruff Park

Mayor Kasim Reed
Arun Nijhawan, Managing Principal, Lucror Resources
Ryan Cameron, V103 morning host and Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club PA announcer

Mayor Kasim Reed will join City of Atlanta residents and visitors at Woodruff Park to witness the iconic Peach Drop, which signifies the closing of year 2017 and the welcoming of year 2018.

In a continued effort to revitalize Downtown, this year the Peach will drop from the historic Flatiron Building. The 120 year old building is the nation’s first flatiron building, predating the flatiron building in New York City by five years. It opened in 1897 and is Atlanta’s oldest standing skyscraper. The Flatiron Building, ‘FlatironCity’, is a melting pot for entrepreneurs and corporations. The refurbished office building houses a diverse tenant base including WEI an incubator for women founded companies and B2B start-ups who are increasing economic productivity in the airlines, logistics, chemical/refinery, digital advertising and music industries.

Admission is free.
