City of Atlanta Announces Modified Schedule for the Atlanta Streetcar to Accommodate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Events

ATLANTA – The City of Atlanta announced today that the Atlanta Streetcar will operate on a modified weekday schedule on Monday, January 15, 2018 to accommodate community events planned for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Streetcar service will begin at 6:00 a.m. and run until 12:30 p.m. on Monday.  Service will be suspended from 12:30 until planned events with heavy pedestrian traffic conclude. The Streetcar will resume service as soon as pedestrian traffic has cleared. Pedestrians should be careful to stay clear of the Streetcar tracks until service has been suspended at 12:30 p.m.

Service will continue until 11:00 p.m., serving all 12 stops. Normal service hours will resume Tuesday, January 16 at 6:00 a.m.

We recommend that riders plan ahead to prepare for anticipated heavy crowd accumulation and subsequent foot traffic at or near Atlanta Streetcar platform stops in the designated areas.
