Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms Names Kimberlyn Daniel Interim Executive Director of WorkSource Atlanta

ATLANTA – In keeping with her commitment to ensure that all Atlantans have the opportunity to achieve success, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has announced that Kimberlyn Daniel will serve as Interim Executive Director of WorkSource Atlanta, an agency focused on job training and placement.  Daniel brings 20 years of human resources experience with her to this new role, most recently serving as Interim Chief Human Resources Officer for Payspan, Inc.

“WorkSource Atlanta plays a critical role both in arming job seekers with the training and skills they need and connecting them with potential employers,” said Mayor Bottoms “Kimberlyn Daniel’s invaluable experience, combined with her relationships with Atlanta’s corporate community, will allow her to make an incredible impact on the lives of our citizens as they find sustainable employment.”

Daniel’s career has included executive-level positions at First Data, SunTrust, Equifax, and ChoicePoint-LexisNexis where she developed her expertise in strategic planning, employee engagement and organizational design and development, among other areas. Also active in the community, she was named one of the 2015 Atlanta Top Women of Influence by the Atlanta Business League. She is also a member of the Atlanta Hawks Diversity Council and a graduate of Leadership Atlanta.

WorkSource Atlanta is responsible for programs and services within the City of Atlanta as part of the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014. The agency works with numerous community partners to provide career, educational and training services to help participants find quality jobs and, in turn, greater financial stability.

Daniel’s appointment is effective as of July 10, 2018.
