Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms to Issue New Executive Order Regarding City of Atlanta I.C.E. Detainee Policy

WHAT:

Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms will issue an executive order regarding the City of Atlanta’s I.C.E. detainee policy. Mayor Bottoms will be joined by the co-chairs of the Mayor's Advisory Committee on Immigrant Detention. 
In June of this year, Mayor Bottoms signed an Executive Order that prohibited the City jail from accepting any new I.C.E. detainees. The Atlanta City Council ratified Mayor Bottoms' executive order unanimously in July.
