Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms Hosts Free HIV Testing in Recognition of World AIDS Day

WHAT:

Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, in partnership with AID Atlanta, will provide free HIV testing in recognition of World AIDS Day. All HIV testing will be done individually and confidentially. World AIDS Day (December 1st) is an international day of awareness, during which mankind unites in the fight against HIV, shows support for people living with HIV and commemorates those who lost their lives due to AIDS-related illness. Between Friday, November 30, 2018 and Saturday, December 1, 2018 the City of Atlanta’s City Hall tower will be illuminated in red on to bring awareness to World AIDS Day and the fight against HIV. City of Atlanta employees are also encouraged to wear red ribbons to bring awareness to HIV.
