Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms Orders Review of City’s Office of Contract Compliance Equal Business Opportunity Program

ATLANTA— Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has ordered a review of the City’s Office of Contract Compliance (OCC) Equal Business Opportunity (EBO) program. Outside, independent experts in minority and women-owned business standards will be engaged to evaluate the City’s minority business enterprise (MBE) participation and standards that have been established.

“Given recent events, it is evident that a thorough review of this vital program is necessary,” said Mayor Bottoms. “Mayor Maynard Jackson’s legacy of inclusion in City business leveled the playing field for generations of business owners across the nation. This administration will not allow abuse or dishonor to undermine this critical program.”

The OCC is the entity that serves as the administration authority for the City's diversity programs. OCC’s data bases of certified firms may be accessed on the Office of Contract Compliance Page and can help prime contractors in their search for OCC certified small, minority, and/or female-owned firms for participation in applicable City diversity programs.
