City of Atlanta to Open Cooling Center to Help Residents Combat the Heat
ATLANTA – The City of Atlanta will open a cooling center as temperatures rise across the city. The center will open today, Friday, August 25, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The cooling center will be located at the Selena Butler Facility at 98 William Holmes Borders Senior Drive SE, Atlanta, GA 30312. The center will also open on the following days:
Saturday, August 26, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, August 27, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Water will be provided at the center.
