City of Atlanta to Open Cooling Center to Help Residents Combat the Heat
ATLANTA—The City of Atlanta will open a cooling center as temperatures rise across the city. The center will open 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. both Tuesday, July 8, 2025, and Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The cooling center will be located at Selena S. Butler Park, at 98 William Holmes Borders Senior Dr NE, Atlanta, GA 30312.
Bottled water will be provided to residents while in the cooling center.
