Atlanta Police Athletic League fights for local youth 

2013 Mayor’s Cup Amateur Boxing Championship
raises much need funding for sports and afterschool programs

The Atlanta Police Athletic League (PAL) will host the 2013 Mayor’s Cup Amateur Boxing Championship on Friday, November 22nd at the Atlanta Civic Center at 7 pm. The annual event is one of the major fundraisers for the organization and all proceeds go directly to funding sports activities and after school programs for Atlanta youth.

Police Officers, Fire fighters and other public safety officials (male and female) will compete in more than eight boxing matches. Two of the boxing matches will feature youth competitors. All fighters will weigh-in at the CNN Center Atrium on November 21st at 5 pm.

Tickets start at $10 and are available for purchase at Public Safety Headquarters, both Police Athletic League (PAL) Centers, police precincts, Ticketmaster and the Atlanta Civic Center box office. Free parking is available at the Atlanta Civic Center. PAL is also selling $1 raffle tickets to raise money and with fabulous prizes such as  a flat screen television, sports memorabilia, complimentary hotel stay and much more.
