Atlanta Police To Swear In 28 New Officers
The Atlanta Police Department is proud to announce the swearing in of Class #235 to be held at the Atlanta Police Training Academy 180 Southside Ind., Pkwy. Atlanta, GA 30354 on Thursday, April 10 at 2:30pm.
Twenty-six male and two female officers will participate in the ceremony that concludes 22 weeks of rigorous training at the Atlanta Police Academy. Training consisted of classroom courses in constitutional law, local and state laws, Atlanta Police Department policy and procedure, hands-on defensive tactics, arrest techniques and daily physical fitness. Next, these officers will experience 12 weeks of field training with veteran officers.
