Atlanta Police To Swear in 25 New
The Atlanta Police Department is proud to announce the swearing in of Class #236 to be held on Thursday, June 12 at 2:30pm at the Atlanta Police Training Academy 180 Southside Ind., Pkwy. Atlanta, GA 30354.There are twenty-five officers consisting of five females and twenty males in Class 236. These officers will participate in the ceremony that concludes 22 weeks of rigorous training at the Atlanta Police Academy. Training consisted of classroom courses in constitutional law, local and state laws, Atlanta Police Department policy and procedure, hands-on defensive tactics, arrest techniques and daily physical fitness. Next, these officers will experience 12 weeks of field training with veteran officers.
