On Saturday, February 20, 2010, Mayor Kasim Reed will partner with Atlanta City Councilmember Joyce M. Sheperd, Howard University, Garret Allen from the Atlanta Community Service Court, the City of Atlanta Sanitation Department, the Atlanta Police Department - Zone 3, and the Atlanta Community Impact Program to clean up District 12. This effort will benefit the entire district including the Hammond Park, Sylvan Hills, Capital View, Capital View Manor, South River Garden and Southside Concerned Citizens communities. Volunteers include students from Howard University and District 12 constituents. The Clean-Up teams will depart from the
Rosel Fann Recreation Center between 10:30am and 11:00am. The Fann Center is located at 365 Cleveland Ave., S.E., and volunteers are still needed. To volunteer, please contact Councilmember Sheperd’s office at
