Mayor Kasim Reed Statement on Hanukkah

ATLANTA –  "This holiday season I extend my warmest wishes to all those celebrating Hanukkah in the City of Atlanta.

This is a time of year for giving and reflection. It is also an opportunity to recognize our City’s long tradition of diversity and celebration across cultures.

Hanukkah celebrates the spirit of resilience and dedication of the Jewish people who faced adversity and persecution with fierce determination. Today, and every day, let us take time to honor the contributions of our city’s Jewish community.

On behalf of the City of Atlanta, best wishes for a joyous and safe holiday.”
