Significant Arrest Made In Carjacking Incident
The Atlanta Police Department is pleased to announce the apprehension of three individuals for their participation in the October 3, 2015 carjacking of an elderly female at a senior living facility in Midtown. Investigators believe that Dominique Jackson, Malik Rollins and a juvenile traveled to Atlanta from Tennessee for the express purpose of engaging in criminal conduct. The suspects are currently awaiting extradition from Tennessee to Georgia. All three suspects have been charged with Hijacking of a Motor Vehicle, Aggravated Assault, and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. Investigators are working to determine if the group is responsible for any additional crimes.
“The arrest of these three men show that law enforcement partnerships are instrumental in solving crime,” said Chief George Turner. ““Individuals who come into our city to commit crimes will quickly learn of the resolve, courage, and ingenuity of the dedicated men and women of the Atlanta Police Department.”
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), the Chattanooga Police Department and the Knoxville Police Department were instrumental in furthering this case and we appreciate their assistance. If anyone has any additional information about this case they are urged to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta 404-577-TIPS.
