Atlanta Police Kick Off Police in the Park Events
Meet Police Officers, Enjoy Free Kids Activities and Prizes 
 

(Atlanta) – The Atlanta Police Department is proud to kick-off the first of three 2016 Police in the Park events. The first Police in the Park will be held this Friday, July 8 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Historic Fourth Ward Park Skate Park located at 830 Willoughby Way, Atlanta, GA.

The event is held in partnership with the Atlanta Police Foundation, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Council District 2 and the Atlanta BeltLine. Citizens are encouraged to attend and meet local Atlanta police officers. Police in the Park events offer opportunities to learn about free crime prevention programs, ask questions and have fun all at the same time! The event will include free kids activities, bike safety training and giveaways including a children’s bike and helmet. Soccer in the Streets, Girls Scouts of Greater Atlanta and the Department of Parks and Recreation PLAY MOBILE, a recreation center on wheels, will be stationed at all of the Police in Park events.

The other Police in the Park events are scheduled for:

• August 7 at Grant Park Farmers Market
• August 27 at Washington Park
