Mayor Kasim Reed Statement on Tragedy in Dallas, Texas

ATLANTA – "I want to express my deep sorrow on the tragic loss of five Dallas law enforcement officers, and I am praying for the full recovery of the other officers and civilians injured in this cowardly attack. The City of Atlanta offers its full support to Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, Police Chief David Brown and the courageous women and men of the Dallas Police Department during this time. Over the coming hours and days, we will learn more about what happened, but there is never justification for an attack on officers who put their lives on the line to protect our communities every day. I ask Atlanta’s residents to join me in prayer for the City of Dallas and the families and loved ones of those killed last night. May God bless them."
